Making the commitment to be a partner, spouse, and/or parent is not always easy, and it rarely comes with a roadmap. Many of us were never taught how to communicate our needs, navigate conflict, set boundaries, or develop and sustain healthy relationships. On top of that, life throws unforeseen circumstances and undeniable feelings our way, oftentimes testing the bounds of those commitments. In the midst of wrestling with what life throws at us, we can lose sight of the goal of loving, connecting, and showing up healthily for our loved ones.

Sometimes, we are facing situations we never thought we would be in. Other times, the difficulties we experience in our relationships brings us face to face with wounds from our past that we may have tried to leave behind. Regardless of what you are dealing with, facing them brings us one step closer to healing, not only for ourselves, but for those we have made commitments to love and nurture. I believe therapy can be a space to safely discuss the experiences, emotions, and patterns that get in the way of feeling emotionally safe and secure.

• Communication
• Conflict Management

I work with couples, individuals, and families with youth ages 12+. I have received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). All of the models listed are evidence-based, and I primarily utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy due to its focus on helping you understand and communicate your emotions and relational patterns to develop more secure and meaningful relationships. I draw from the other models as needed based on your presenting concerns, goals, and individual needs.

I use a collaborative approach that empowers clients to take an active role in their lives. My use of humor is paired with a direct and honest approach, creating an inviting and supportive space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. My role is to help you better understand yourself, navigate your relationships, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, so that together, we can create space for the change you want to see.

Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting, knitting, exploring new cafés, listening to music, and spending time with my loved ones.
