Laura Roche APC, MS, NCC
As a therapist, I am passionate about working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, or are just feeling stuck. These challenges can cause us to suffer and may prevent us from being present enough to appreciate the joy in our everyday lives. I work collaboratively with clients to empower them with helpful tools and coping skills to more effectively handle these difficult thoughts, and to prioritize their values and goals rather than having their days dominated by mental health struggles.
I use an evidence-based therapeutic approach called ACT, or acceptance and commitment therapy, which helps people become aware of and unstuck from their negative thought patterns and behaviors while learning new skills for better ways of coping.
If anxiety and depression are affecting your daily life through panic attacks, avoidance, or disengagement, we can navigate these challenges together using mindfulness tools to help you ground yourself and stay in the present moment. We will also work to clarify your values and goals and help you work towards those while addressing the struggles that have been holding you back.
After working for nearly ten years in the corporate world, my path led me to a career in counseling. I feel honored to accompany clients on their own journeys
